We believe that this conference would be useful to someone who is a novice as well as those who are connoisseurs in clinical research. With rapid advances in treatments & technologies, it has become imperative that we equip ourselves with the fine nuances of clinical research. This conference would be a fantastic opportunity to meet and hear the experts share their experiences in clinical research.  </div><div \"data-stled-text-align: center;\"><strong>About the Pre-conference Workshop (BCBR- 2019)</strong>  </div><div \"data-stled-text-align: justify;\">Do you feel confused and intimidated by the statistical section while reading journals? Do you wish you could have a better grasp of the basics of biostatistics? Do you think some kind of formal training will help you to do statistical analysis better? Join us on February 6-7, 2018 at the BCBR Workshop. The workshop will comprise of lectures, group tasks, individual problem solving exercises, hands on training using SPSS and discussions. We have invited experienced professionals with a vast experience to impart us with their knowledge and skills required to understand and perform Biostatistical calculations.Workshop participants are expected to bring their own lap top for hands-on exercises in SPSS.   • The abstract should be prepared in word document using the Font–Times New   Roman, Size-12.
  • The abstract should contain Title, Authors, affiliation/s and Main body
  • Title- Title should be typed in bold and in sentence case, i.e., use a
  • capital letter  at the beginning of title only and no full stop at the end.
  • Authors – Author names should be typed as – Surname & initials. (Nair S.E.)
  • The name of the presenting author should be underlined. (Example- Nair S.E)      
  • The corresponding author should be indicated by * 
  • Address should be typed in sentence case.
  • It must contain, Name of the department/school/College, Name of University, detail address with Pin code.– Email of corresponding author
  • Main body- The main body of abstract must contain: Objective/s, Methodology, Results and Conclusion
  • Abstracts without results will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts if accepted, author/co-author has to register for the  conference 
  • The authors are requested to indicate the type of presentation, namely oral or poster. 

Processing of Abstracts:
  • Abstracts will be screened on the basis of content, quality, and relevance to the theme of the conference, methodological rigor and originality of the work done.
  • Preference will be given to those who have performed original clinical research, especially RCT, systematic review & meta-analysis& analytical studies. 
  • Best poster and oral presentations will be awarded PRIZES.

Travel Directions
SRM Medical College Hospital & Research centre (Kattankulathur, Potheri) is situated in the suburbs of Chennai, GST road (NH-45), 25 km from Chennai Airport. There is a railway junction (Potheri) right across the entrance of the campus. Participants reaching Chennai by train can board the “Beach to Chengalpattu” local train from Beach/Central/Egmore stations to reach Potheri station. The college is also well-connected by bus facilities from the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT), Koyambedu.   
  • Delegates can send their best clinical research article (PDF format) to the organizers that was published between January to December 2018, before 15th January 2019
  • Only original clinical research article will be considered. In vitro/animal studies/reviews/meta-analysis/case report/case series will NOT be considered
  • The articles will be evaluated by some of the best reviewers across the country
  • The participant must be one of first three authors or the corresponding author of the scientific manuscript
  • A PRIZE will be awarded to the applicant of the best scientific article. There will not be any presentation
  • The participants must be a registered delegate of the conference (EBCCON-2019)
  • Participant should not be above 40 years of age
  • Only one person can apply for a particular research article
  • Delegates need to apply in advance and indicate their participation through the conference email id. ebccon.2019@ktr.srmuniv.ac.in or ebccon2019@gmail.com on or before 15th January 2019
  • Delegates participating in this event will be given a published clinical research article by email in the last week of January 2019
  • A slide presentation giving the gist of the article along with valid critical appraisal needs to be done by the delegate . Maximum permitted slides is 12. Total time per person is 10 minutes
  • There will be a time allotted for this presentation during the conference. A PRIZE will be awarded to the person with best critical appraisal skills
  • The participants must be a registered delegate of the conference (EBCCON-2019)
  • Participant should be a PG student in any medical /pharmacy/life sciences. Even PhD scholars may apply
  • Participants will be selected on a first cum first serve basis. A maximum of 25 participants will be considered. Hence those applying for this event may register at the earliest
  • Delegates need to apply in advance and indicate their participation through the conference email id. ebccon.2019@ktr.srmuniv.ac.in or ebccon2019@gmail.com on or before 15th January 2019
  • Clinical research quiz will be a team event. A team should comprise a minimum of 2 or 3 persons from the same institute
  • Only students may participate in this competition
  • There will be a written prelims round. The top 4 teams will be chosen for the final round
  • Questions will involve on clinical research, clinical trials, biostatistics, GCP
  • First and second prize will be awarded
  • Only registered delegates may participate in the quiz
