We believe that this conference would be useful to someone who is a novice as well as those who are connoisseurs in clinical research. This conference would be a fantastic opportunity to meet and hear the experts share their experiences in clinical research.</span> <span \"data-stled-color:#DAA520;\"><strong>About the Pre-conference Workshop (NWS2020)</strong></span> <span \"data-stled-color:#FFFFE0;\">Do you get overwhelmed by the process involved in writing a scientific manuscript? Have you ever felt stuck while writing a scientific manuscript? Do you think some kind of formal training will help you write better manuscripts for publishing in scientific journals? If the answer to any of the above questions is a resounding yes, we urge you to make use of this great opportunity to get yourselves trained in scientific writing on Feb 6, 2020. Call for Abstracts
  • The abstract should be prepared in word document using the Font–Times New   Roman, Size-12.
  • The abstract should contain Title, Authors, affiliation/s and Main body.
  • Title- Title should be typed in bold and in sentence case, i.e., use a capital letter  at the beginning of title only and no full stop at the end.
  • Authors – Author names should be typed as – Surname & initials. (Nair S.E.)
  • The name of the presenting author should be underlined. (Example- Nair S.E)     
  • The corresponding author should be indicated by *
  • Address should be typed in sentence case.
  • It must contain, name of the department/school/college, name of university, detail address with pin code and email ID of corresponding author.
  • Main body- The main body of abstract must contain: Objective/s, Methodology, Results and Conclusion.
  • Abstracts without results will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts if accepted, author/co-author has to register for the conference.
  • The authors are requested to indicate the type of presentation, namely oral or poster.
  • Maximum word count for abstract is 250.

Processing of Abstracts
  • Abstracts will be screened on the basis of content, quality, and relevance to the theme of the conference, methodological rigor and originality of the work done.
  • Best poster and oral presentations will be awarded PRIZES.
Interested participants are requested to submit their abstracts online to: on or before 14th January 2020.

SRM Medical College Hospital & Research centre (Kattankulathur, Potheri) is situated in the suburbs of Chennai, GST road (NH-45), 25 km from Chennai Airport. There is a railway junction (Potheri) right across the entrance of the campus. Participants reaching Chennai by train can board the “Beach to Chengalpattu” local train from Beach/Central/Egmore stations to reach Potheri station. The college is also well-connected by bus facilities from the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT), Koyambedu.
Award for Best Published Research Article!
  • Delegates can send their best clinical research article (PDF format) to the organizers that was published between January to December 2019, before 14th January 2020.
  • Only original clinical research article will be considered.
  • In vitro/animal studies/reviews/meta-analysis/case report/case series will NOT be considered.
  • The articles will be evaluated by some of the best reviewers across the country.
  • The participant must be one of first three authors or the corresponding author of the scientific manuscript.
  • A PRIZE will be awarded to the applicant of the best scientific article. There will not be any presentation.
  • The participant must be a registered delegate of the conference (EBCCON-2020).
  • Participant should not be above 45 years of age.
  • Only one person can apply for a particular research article.
  • Delegates need to apply in advance and indicate their participation through the conference email id. on or before 14th January 2020.

Award for Best Critic!
  • Delegates participating in this event will be given a published clinical research article by email in the last week of January 2020.
  • A slide presentation giving the gist of the article along with valid critical appraisal needs to be done by the delegate. Maximum permitted slides is 12. Total time per person is 10 minutes.
  • There will be a time allotted for this presentation during the conference. A PRIZE will be awarded to the person with best critical appraisal skills.
  • The participants must be a registered delegate of the conference (EBCCON-2020).
  • Participant should be a PG student in any medical /pharmacy/life sciences. Even PhD scholars can apply.
  • Participants will be selected on a first cum first serve basis. A maximum of 25 participants will be considered. Hence those applying for this event may register at the earliest.
  •  Delegates need to apply in advance and indicate their participation through the conference email id.  on or before 144h January 2020. 
  • Clinical research quiz will be a team event. A team should comprise a minimum of 2 or 3 persons from the same institute
  • Only students may participate in this competition
  • There will be a written prelims round. The top 4 teams will be chosen for the final round
  • Questions will involve on clinical research, clinical trials, biostatistics, GCP
  • First and second prize will be awarded
  • Only registered delegates may participate in the quiz
  • Teams need to apply in advance and indicate their participation through the conference email id.
