Dear Colleagues,

It gives us immense pleasure to invite you for the 3rd annual conference of Indian Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Imaging (ISGAR) from 27th to 29th September 2019 at Hotel Le Meridian, Kochi, Kerala.
ISGAR is a young society and was established in 2016, recognizing the need for a society to cater for the advances in Abdominal Imaging. In a short period of three years ISGAR has come a long way with two successful annual conferences and launch of its journal, The Journal of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Imaging (JGAR) in association with Thieme international. The first publication is already in circulation.
At ISGAR we have taken a different approach, moving away from didactic lectures to workshops and multidisciplinary panel discussions with adequate time for in depth interaction.

The conference will include
  • Case based scenarios
  • Multidisciplinary practice oriented & disease focused approach
  • Interactions with the masters at workshops
  • International and national experts
  • An india specific focus on database and practice
  • A rendezvous of various international abdominal radiology societies

The Conference will form an emerging platform for collaboration between ISGAR and BSGAR.

ISGAR Conference is being held for the first time in Kerala - Gods own country. The host city is Kochi also known as the Queen of Arabian Sea. Kochi has a composite culture starting with the Jewish connection before Common Era and the welcoming of Christian & Islamic influences through trade and peaceful coexistence. This has been embellished with layers of Portuguese, Dutch and British culture. So what awaits you is the traditional Malayali Hospitality with a tinge of all these. There are immense possibilities for the travel and sight seeing freaks as well. Besides Kochi is known for its premier Institutes delivering state of the art care in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

We will keep you updated as we progress further and look forward to your active and engaged participation. The who's who of World Abdominal Radiology is going to be there at Kochi and we are sure you wouldn't want to miss this golden opportunity. Spread the word around and let's join hands to make Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology, the topmost Radiology subspeciality where teaching, learning and exchange of ideas is the norm.

Looking forward to seeing you at Kochi.
