#Flash: Sleep Deprivation Or Excess May Raise The Risk of De
This study evaluated the sex-specific association between sleep duration and all-cause and major-cause mortality and worked to stratify the association by age and BMI. In this cohort study of 322721 adult participants, when compared with 7 hours, all other sleep durations were associated with a significantly increased mortality risk. Age and sex were significant modifiers of the associations between sleep duration and death from all causes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and other causes, and age was a modifier of the association only among men.
