17 year girl is suffering from high grade fever around 105-106*. No antipyretic is effective in lowering the temperature. Blood, urine culture and other blood tests and CT chest ultrasound abdomen all are negative for any pathological problems. Fever persistent for 2 weeks now. Cause still unknown.
Medication prescribed- doxycycline and cefixime

Sir I would like to correct you... chloroquine in NSAID -non steroidal. N the medication has been administered keeping in mind that it will counter malaria

A similar case was seen in PGI Chandigarh where the a 8 yr old boy had similar symptoms and tested negative for malaria too. Later after keeping him under observation he was administered chloroquines by the doctor treating him. It was found that he actually had malaria
