Acute onset of unilateral facial edema and occipetal cellulitis after chikungunya fever. What will be your primary suspects?
A male patient of 53 years carpenter by profession from pratap nagar, Jaipur presents of acute onset unilateral facial edema after successful 7 day treatment of chikungunya fever. Patient has diffuse, tender and unilateral swelling on left side of face with epistaxis and uncontrolled seizures. Swelling is hard on touch with presence of unilateral occipetal cellulitis. Patient is currwntly stated. Please present the preffered course of action.

Intracranial infection via a cavernous sinus thrombophlebitis is a strong possibility, and should be aggressively investigated and simultaneously treated with 3/4 generation cephalosporins + linezolud/vancomycin.
