Anti-HIV-1 and anti-HIV-1-protease substances from Ganoderma Lucidum Mushroom.
A highly oxygenated triterpene, ganoderic acid ? has been isolated from a methanol extract of fruiting bodies of mushroom together with 12 known compounds.Structures of isolated compounds were determined by spectroscopic means including 2D-NMR. Ganoderiol F and ganodermanontriol, found active as anti-HIV-1 agents with inhibitory concentration of 7.8 ?g ml for both, and ganoderic acid a,B, C1,H,ganoderiol A,B,etc, were active inhibitors against HIV-1 PR with 50% inhibitory conc.of 0.17–0.23 mm.
