Are the doctors to blame?
Recently i came across two different cases but with a minor connection. One case where the patient was under medication for a communicable disease and the second case was of a HIV patient. The minor connection between the two being that the patient failed to report this in the medical history but we came to know about the scenario through an another source.
So why do you think this happens? Is it the fear of being judged or lack of patient awareness regarding the importance of infection control?
#Food for thought!
P. S. The first case patient believed that he had only a minor fever and the doctor had prescribed him vitamin tablets which when checked where infact chemotherapeutic drugs!
