Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is a commonly performed procedure that allows recovery of knee stability. Post-surgical complications of ACL reconstruction include stiffness, wound complications, infection, graft failure, deep venous thrombosis, osteonecrosis and peri-articular fractures. However, peri-articular fractures involving the tibial plateau fractures are extremely rare and have been reported only in a few cases. This article report an interesting case of bilateral fracture of the medial tibial plateau following a motorcycle accident in a patient who had arthroscopic ACL reconstruction in the past.
