Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a chronic cholestatic disease characterized by the progressive fibrosing inflammatory destruction of the intrahepatic and extrahepatic ducts, leading to liver failure. PSC is a common cause of the liver transplantation in adults, following neoplastic diseases, primary biliary cirrhosis, hepatitis C virus cirrhosis, hepatitis B virus cirrhosis and alcoholic cirrhosis.The recipient’s common bile duct is certainly resected and hepatocholangiojejunostomy is needed in the case of liver transplantation for PSC.Here, we report the first case of choledochoduodenostomy managed with magnetic compression following a massive resection of the small intestine due to strangulated ileus after living donor liver transplantation (LDLT)...
