A rare delivery was witnessed on Sunday when doctors at a state-run hospital in Beed delivered dicephalic parapagus twins, a rarity among conjoined twins deliveries. The newborn are of male sex and weighed 3.7 kg at the time of birth.
The twins have different lungs and hearts but common liver and other body parts below the abdomen. Though the twins are in somewhat healthy condition, the doctors have ruled out chances of their survival due to the complex health condition and have kept them in NICU.
