Patient was healthy with no current medical concerns, with no relevant Dental history.

CLINICAL EXAMINATION: The initial examination revealed deep probing depth with bleeding on probing. Gingival inflammation was observed on palatal and buccal gingiva on 16 and also between 16&17; in interdental gingiva.

INVESTIGATION: Radiograph revealed there was a vertical bone defect wrt 16,17.

Pathology report described the tissue to be bone.

TREATMENT EXECUTED: Patient was appointed to assess the site surgically. After Local Anaesthesia had been achieved, intracrevicular incision was given and full thickness flap was reflected from mesial 16 to mesial 17. The mobile hard tissue was removed and debridement was carried out. After which intrabony defect was filled with Demineralized Freeze Dried Bone Allograft (DFDBA) and Platelet Rich Fibril (PRF). Interrupted sutures were given and periodontal dressing was applied to the site. Pathology report described the tissue as definitive diagnosis was bone. The patient was subsequently sent for prosthetic rehabilitation. Post-operative instructions were given.
