CLINICAL CASE

 34 years old female, married since 18 years, abortion 1, came with the complaint of secondary infertility. 

Patient has no history of menorrhagia, dysmenorrhea, irregular menses. 

On history of previous abortion: it was an IUI conception with incomplete spontaneous abortion at 1.5 months gestational age. D & C was done. (Feb 2010) 

Patient was diagnosed with genital TB on hysteroscopy in Oct 2010, was treated accordingly. 

Diagnostic D & C was done in reference of secondary infertility in 2016, histopathology examination revealed secretory phase endometrium. 

On P/A- Large mass felt, firm in consistency, arising from pelvis deviated to right side reaching about 2-3 cm below the umbilicus. (?) uterine fibroid. 

On P/S- Os pinpoint with small cervical polyp. 

On P/V- Uterus irregularly enlarged, anteverted, firm in consistency, about 16 weeks in size. B/L fissures free. 

Patient was advised USG-Genito-Urinary-Tract and hysterosalpingography. 

On USG examination- Anteverted, bulky uterus showing a large, right lateral wall fibroid was detected. A complete report has been attached with the post.

Pre-op investigations like CBC, Hb, Thyroid profile were Normal. 

Surgery- LAPAROSCOPIC MYOMECTOMY was done. The specimen was removed by morcellation.
