Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has announced that the retirement age of central government doctors has been raised to 65 years. The cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister took the decision after it had been pending on the agenda for the past few days.

This increase in retirement age from 60 to 65 years applies only to central government doctors and not to Central Health Service doctors.

The government has taken this initiative to address the experienced doctors in the country...
