If it’s complete ACL tear written in report it’s good to get done, otherwise at later stages it will affect ur knee joint bcoz of weight transmission and activities carried out.

Complete treat or incomplete tear may show symptoms with accidental strain to knee for example running, balancing etc if symptoms increases then v have to preform surgery asap for the better quality of life.

Patient with with ACL injury(Upto grade 3) may have any of the following 3 situations : 1. Asymptomatic In such a case, no surgery is required and can be delayed for as long as the symptoms don' t develop or patient' s wish. 2. Intermittent symptoms In such a case, patient experiences symptoms intermittently , for example during winters. ,this can be managed by SOS analgesics and laser therapy plus physiotherapy. Not to mention, avoid stressfull situations, weight bearing, sports etc. 3. Continuously Symptomatic In such a case, an arthroscopic ACL repair is needed ASAP. Laser therapy may work well too, but scarcity of results makes it a less opted choice. Open for advices. Thank you ... Read more
