A robot dentist in the city of Xi'an, China, following a set of pre-programmed commands, installed two dental implants in a patient under the supervision of human doctors, in what could be the world's first fully automated dental implant surgery, as reported by the South China Morning Post.

As per the Experts, the implants were fitted within a margin of error of 0.2-0.3 mm, matching the standards required for this type of procedure.
