Indian Govt restricted the export of about 26 Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and formulations like Paracetamol, Tinidazole, Metronidazole, Vitamins B1, B6, B12, hormone progesterone, among others; according to the notification dated March 3, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT)

"The Committee after examining the situation has recommended imposing restrictions on the export on some APIs and formulations...till further orders," DGFT notification said.

Restricted APIs and their formulations are as below :

Paracetamol
Tinidazole
Metronidazole
Acyclovir
Vitamin B1
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B12
Progesterone
Chloramphenicol
Erythromycin Salts
Neomycin
Clindamycin Salts
Ornidazole
