Doctors perform maiden neurosurgery in south Kashmir hospital
The Health Services Department on Thursday said that they performed first ever Neurosurgery at the Neurosurgical Unit of Anantnag district hospital.
A statement issued here by Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) said that the Neurosurgical procedure was headed by Dr Basharat Mujtaba.
A 65-year-old male patient, presented with severe headache and weakness in left side of the body from last 5 days. CT Scan of Head was done which showed Chronic Subdural Haemorrhage with Sub Acute Component with mass effect," it said.
It said the hospital's Neurosurgical Unit operated upon the patient and a burr hole drainage was done.
