#Flash : An Avocado A Day Keeps Belly Fat Away
A randomised control trial involving 105 adults with overweight and obesity claims that daily consumption of avocado can help in loss of belly fat. As a part of the trial, one group received meals that incorporated a fresh avocado, while the other group received meals that did not contain avocado for a period of 12 weeks. Results showed that women who consumed avocado as part of their daily meal had a reduction in abdominal fat whereas men did not show any change. It was concluded that a dietary pattern that includes an avocado impacts body fat storage and is helpful primarily in females. This research has brought up the potential role of gender in dietary intervention responses and will be elaborated further to understand all the benefits of avocados.
