#Flash: Healthy Sleep Pattern Reduces Arrhythmia Risk
A prospective study indicated that a healthy sleep pattern is associated with lower risk of atrial fibrillation (AF) and bradyarrhythmia. The investigation was carried out on 403,187, it was seen that participants with the healthy sleep score of 5 had a 29% and 35% lower risk of developing atrial fibrillation and bradyarrhythmia, respectively and association with ventricular arrhythmias was insignificant. Also, participants with genetic predisposition were found to be at higher risk of atrial fibrillation.
