#Flash: Hot Flashes In Women Liked To Migraine History
A study aimed to examine the association between migraines and hot flash severity. Research was carried out on women aged between 45 to 60 years who had reported history of migraine and the severity of menopause symptoms were assessed. It was found that women who experienced severe menopausal hot flashes had a history of migraines and in a separate analysis of only vasomotor symptoms, women with a migraine history had a 40% higher chance of experiencing severe hot flashes. Further research would help to explore how these symptoms impact cardiovascular disease risk.
