#Flash: Isopsoralen helps in treatment of Rheumatoid arthrit
Isopsoralen (IPRN) has anti-inflammatory properties. A Study was conducted to investigate the inhibitory effects of IPRN on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and characterize its potential mechanism. RA fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLSs) and collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) were used to analyze the antiarthritic effect of IPRN. It was observed that IPRN ameliorated the inflammatory phenotype of RA FLSs & significantly reduced the severity of CIA by decreasing paw thickness, arthritis score, bone damage, and serum inflammatory cytokine levels. It was concluded that IPRN has antiarthritic properties, implying about the therapeutic potential in RA.
