#Flash: Peanut consumption is associated with Lower incidenc
The researchers examined the correlation between peanut consumption and the risk of CVS disease in Japanese men and women. Data from 74793 people were analyzed for  the incidence of stroke, ischemic heart disease, and cardiovascular disease. The findings revealed 3,599 strokes and 849 ischemic heart disorders. Increased peanut consumption was linked to a lower incidence of total stroke, ischemic stroke, and CVS disease in both men and women. Higher peanut consumption, in particular, was linked to a lower risk of stroke, particularly ischemic stroke, but not ischemic heart disease.
