Government starts course to better deal with medical emergencies
Under the initiative 'Skill for Life, Save a Life', the Ministry for Health and Family Welfare launched a "First Responder Course", which will train professionals as well as members of the general public in first aid across the country. The curriculum for the course has been designed by the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) and the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) and the training will be imparted in the central and state government institutions in each district from next month...

Which should also start a discussion to include Emergency Medicine as a PG degree as is included in US and UK. Doing this would better our ER service infrastructure and drastically reduce the mortality rates associated!
