Hy Dr. Prakash If oxygen is available, the pyruvate can be broken down into carbon di oxide in cellular respiration making many molecules of ATP. It is the final product in aerobic pathway In absence of oxygen the enzyme lactate dehydrogenase act on pyruvate and lactate is the end product in anaerobic pathway.
