I would like to share one of my internship experience to all. Few months ago I was posted in casualty for 15 days. I was on a night emergency duty. I was preparing my tray for stitches and wound repairing in a septic room. Suddenly our watchman ran into the room and told me there is a woman having labour pain in a auto-rikshaw. So, i ran with gloves and two artery forceps (because clamps wasn't available at that time) to outside of hospital towards auto . Then I saw crowning , I asked her husband to give support and I successfully pulled out the baby .then our sisters came with a clean towel in her hand . I clamp the cords with artery forceps and cut the cord with a scissor then sister took an infant in a clean towel . Then we suddenly moved mother to labour room for a placenta removal and baby to NICU. Fortunately both baby and mother was is good health . So, no complications developed . It was one of the most critical moment for me in entire internship . Because performing a delivery in a autorikshaw is not as easy as it sound. But that moment gives me a realisation about importance of being a doctor.......
