IIPHG presents Free session on Yoga nidra and the art & science of relaxation
The objective: To provide techniques to enhance relaxation and improve quality of sleep
Yoga Nidra works to facilitate withdrawal of senses in wards. It is also called “psychic” sleep when the mind is fully awake and the body sleeps! During Yoga Nidra, participants remain lied down horizontally with the face and torso facing up (supine position) in a position known as “corpse pose,” while the instructor slowly guides them into deep relaxation using specific techniques in different stages. The relaxation provided via Yoga Nidra has so many benefits similar to the research on the Relaxation Response.
Contents of the session:
In this session, you will learn what is Yoga Nidra, the process and its benefits. You will also experience short Yoga Nidra practice and explore how this can be used to reduce anxiety, achieve faster recovery and improve sleep quality
It would be advisable if the participants have a place to lie down in supine position during the practice. Please prepare audio accordingly".
