Introducing VoiceMD #WWYD: What would you do?
We are excited to introduce a new feature #WWYD. Now and then we encounter the situations in daily practice where we are exposed to make difficult choices with incomplete information. Through this series, we try to bring out certain situations like this and understand different opinions & perspectives of practitioners. We hope the results & discussion will provide everyone broader perspective on the subject.

Doctors across India are seeing increasing Influenza-like illness (ILI)/Upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) cases. What would be your drug of choice for a patient having fever and cough for 2 days in this season, and why? (If RT-PCR result is awaited)

The panic around Covid-19 has all of us sitting on the edge. It' s only natural that even the sightest of cough or fever has the patient worried, according to me we should advise isolation to start with, along with all he other conservative treatment modalities we are following for covid. Assume positive until proven negative.
