Jharkhand CM inaugurates country’s first hospital dedicated
Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday inaugurated country’s first hospital dedicated for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana beneficiaries named Tata Main Hospital (TMH) Golmuri in the Tinplate township. The 30-bedded hospital is located behind the existing Tinplate Hospital. The Tata Steel managed hospital will provide 24×7 facilities for orthopaedic, general surgery, pediatric and critical care treatment

“It is a day of achievement with the city getting the country’s first hospital dedicated for beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat scheme. As per our plans, we want to cover 85 per cent population of the state under the ambitious health insurance scheme benefitting 57 lakh families. As of now, we have issued 25 lakh golden cards which enables one to avail the benefit of the scheme. The government has now decided to issue golden cards free of cost to beneficiaries instead of the existing norm of charging Rs 30 from the beneficiaries,” said Das.

So far 219 government hospitals and 429 private hospitals have been empanelled in the state under the scheme. In the state more than 2 lakh patients have benefitted from the scheme,” informed Das.
