India’s Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said, “In the coming months, these vaccine makers could also be given an emergency use authorisation from the Indian drug regulator. India could see more vaccines after regulatory approvals.”
Among this next set are vaccines whose research and development is being led by Indian companies or they are already being manufactured in the country. These are Zydus Cadila, Russia’s Sputnik V, Biological E and Gennova are other vaccines in the pipeline which are in advanced clinical trials in India.
