#LegallySpeaking: Medico-Legal Tip
#LegallySpeaking: Medico-Legal Tip
If a patient makes a request for his/her medical reports, it should be provided within 72 hours.

The Medical Council of India's "CODE OF MEDICAL ETHICS REGULATIONS, 2002" has laid down certain professional conduct, etiquette and ethics to be followed by a practicing doctor.

The section 1.3 which for the maintenance of medical records states that, "...If any request is made for medical records either by the patients / authorised attendant or legal authorities involved, the same may be duly acknowledged and documents shall be issued within the period of 72 hours..."
