Lung cancer is on the rise in Indian Women
Lung cancer, which is not usually considered a grave threat to women, is on the rise. Data released by the Mumbai Cancer Registry on Monday show that lung cancer accounts for 5.3% of all cancers affecting women.

Doctors say the rise can be attributed to two main factors: rise in smoking and exposure to passive smoking. The trend is worrisome, say doctors, with women already at risk of breast and cervical cancers.
