MCI cautions doctors against 'no cure, no payment' promises
“Don’t indulge in the business of ‘No Cure, No Payment’ or ‘Guarantee any cure’” was the strict warning issued by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) earlier this week to its 2.5-lakh doctors across the country. It cautioned them that “indulging in the business of guarantee or money back for treatment” is a clear violation of the Medical Council of India (MCI) Code of Ethics Regulations as well as the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act.
