Before joining medical school, I thought I would maintain my handwriting but it's an entirely different scene once in medical school.
We are supposed to write 5 pages within a fraction of say, 10 minutes, in an exam. We are exposed to this kind of writing right from 1st semester. This becomes worse till we reach final year. And Voila! Damage is already done.
It doesn't end here! When we start practising, we have to see at least 200 patients a day in OPD. And in 2 minutes we have to listen to patient's problems, write history, diagnose, and then write prescriptions for the same. Who has time to focus on good handwriting? As far as is readable and legit, doesn't create any problem.
On a scale of 1-5, how would you rate your handwriting?
