Teratomas are bizarre neoplasms derived from embryonic tissues typically found in the gonads and sacrococcygeal tissues of adults.

International Journal of Surgery case reports, report a case of histologically proven metastatic teratoma with an unusual presentation. The 32-year old male patient had a retroperitoneal tumour detected on computed tomography during the workup of abdominal pain.
