Migraine associated with higher risk of stroke after surgery
The risk was found to be highest for surgical patients who have migraines with aura, where there are warning signs before the onset of migraine, such as seeing flashing lights. Experts say migraine should be included in an individual' s risk assessment of stroke before undergoing surgery.
