Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issues additional guidance for health care workers and others working in Non-COVID hospitals and Non-COVID treatment areas of a hospital that has a COVID block.

This guideline uses the “settings” approach to guide on the type of personal protective equipment to be used in different settings:

1. Out-Patient Department
2. In-patient Department
3. Emergency Department (Non-COVID)
4. Other Supportive/ Ancillary Services
5. Pre-hospital (Ambulance) Services

These guidelines are in continuation of guidelines issued previously on ‘Rational use of Personal Protective Equipment’

Note: This presentation is a brief compilation of the provided guidelines. The complete guideline is attached as pdf.
