NBE releases new guidelines for accredited hospitals, instit
The National Board of Examination (NBE) has recently issued the revised guidelines for the stipend to DNB and FNB candidates pursuing their PG medical courses at various accredited hospitals/institutions across the country.

As per the notice, NBE accredited hospital shall have to pay the DNB/FNB candidate a basic stipend as mentioned below or basic stipend according to the state government policy (whichever is higher).

DNB Broad Specialty (Post MBBS Trainees):
1st Year Trainee - Rs. 35,000
2nd Year Trainee - Rs. 37,000
3rd Year Trainee - Rs. 39,000

DNB Broad Specialty (Post Diploma Trainees):
1st Year Trainee - Rs. 35,000
2nd Year Trainee - Rs. 37,000

DNB Super Specialty (Post MD/MS/DNB) Trainees:
1st Year Trainee - Rs. 41,000
2nd Year Trainee - Rs. 43,000
3rd Year Trainee - Rs. 45,000

DNB Super Specialty Direct 6 Year Courses (Post MBBS Trainees):
1st Year Trainee - Rs. 35,000
2nd Year Trainee - Rs. 37,000
3rd Year Trainee - Rs. 39,000
4th Year Trainee - Rs. 41,000
5th Year Trainee - Rs. 43,000
6th Year Trainee - Rs. 45,000

FNB Programme:
1st Year Trainee - Rs. 41,000
2nd Year Trainee - Rs. 43,000

NBE accredited hospitals are at liberty to pay DNB & FNB trainees a monthly stipend more than the minimum stipend prescribed by NBE.

The said stipend guidelines further require that parity to the basic stipend paid by respective State government should be maintained and rates of stipend may accordingly be periodically revised.

It is herewith reiterated that paying monthly stipend to DNB & FNB trainees as per NBE guidelines is mandatory.

All NBE accredited hospitals/institutes are hereby advised to comply with the NBE guidelines for payment of stipend. Failure to do so shall invite appropriate action as per applicable NBE norms.
