In a relief to thousands of candidates who have or are planning to apply for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET 2017), the Medical Council of India has decided to remove limitations over age and number of attempts.

The CBSE had earlier said that a candidate can appear for a maximum of 3 times and fixed the upper age-limit of candidates at 25 years (30 years for Reserved Category Students).

The CBSE has refused to comment on the MCI statement. Supreme Court hearing on the matter is due on 20th March.
