Last week we took a poll to find out doctor's opinions on "Effect of FDA warning on their prescribing habits."
And as a response 180 doctors & medical students took the poll, out of which 61.7% of were doctors & 38.3% of were medical students.
Major specialities that participated were General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dentistry, and others.
57.7% of doctors believe both type of warnings, i.e, A warning about adverse reaction risk & A warning about manufacturing issues impacting drug quality, has affected their prescribing practice.
We have analyzed the results and are presented in the primer attached below.
Here’s a snippet of their opinions, in their own words…
"Because manufacturing issues mean the drug itself is faulty whereas adverse reactions can be taken care of and the dose can be titrated accordingly" ~ Pathology
"Both quality and adverse effects will harm my patients so both are important" ~ Emergency Medicine
