One of the most feared complications during hysteroscopic surgery is haemodilution by absorption of distension media. Stopping the procedure before the safe limit of deficit of distension media is crossed & completing the procedure in two stages can prevent this complication. Eventhen when it occurs rapid correction of hyponatremia is must to prevent severe complications including fatality.
