There is no standard systemic treatment for persons with recurrent meningioma who have exhausted surgery and radiation options. Liposomal doxorubicin is a cytotoxic chemotherapy which is sustainable and tolerable, with activity against a range of solid tumors. This article reports case of metastatic meningioma effectively treated with liposomal doxorubicin. Ptient was a 35-year-old man with recurrent meningioma compressing the cervical spinal cord received liposomal doxorubicin for 22 months with clinical improvement, minimal toxicity, and slow regression of his tumor. He is well and without progression 18 months after stopping chemotherapy and 4 years after his last progression event.
