Background: Erythema mulitforme (EM) is an immune-mediated dermatologic disorder that presents with superficial cutaneous lesions as well as mucosal erosions in varying distributions with widely variant inciting factors.

Case: 19-year-old multiparous African-American female at 12-13 weeks gestation presented with a two-month history of erosive plaques and ulcers on the buccal mucosa, hard palate, and tongue with overlying serosanginous crusting.
