Sharing a true story with all the health professionals here.

There was a very diligent, intelligent and respected doctor who was praised in the whole region for his skills and the humanity he showed.
One day he suddenly got Ill and the reports showed him positive for an opportunistic infection.
He became really troubled and disturbed after being diagnosed as HIV+. The society continuing on the little thinking didn't let the man 'live' his life anymore as he was insulted and made fun of.
HIV did not kill the doctor but Yes, the society did and the world lost a gem due to the suicide he committed.
After years, his diary was read and he has written about a needle stick injury he contacted during his internship.
How judgemental and cruel the society is of whom we are integral part
lesson today is not only about the emotional factor associated but the Precaution while practicing medicine and staying safe from needle stick injuries.
