Super specialty wings to come up in 70 Teaching Hospitals across the country
Aiming to give a boost to healthcare facilities in hospitals attached to government medical colleges, the centre has identified 70 medical colleges across the country.

In each super specialty wing, the government will spend Rs 150 crore. Officials said that apart from developing super specialty wings, the health department will also upgrade facilities at hospitals attached to medical colleges.

Recently, Union health minister JP Nadda had laid the foundation stone for super specialty wing at Government Medical College in Bikaner. The other two medical colleges in Rajasthan include Government Medical College Udaipur and Kota.

Officials said that apart from developing super specialty wings, the health department will also upgrade facilities at hospitals attached to medical colleges.

The announcement was first made by Union Health Minister J.P Nadda in April 2016
