Takayasu arteritis (TA) (pulseless disease) is a granulomatous vasculitis of unknown etiology. An anesthesiologist most commonly comes across this condition in women presenting for cesarean section, as young women are the most vulnerable group. The knowledge of this disease is, therefore, important for all anesthesiologists working in the Asian subcontinent due to its high incidence in this part of the world compared to the other regions. A 24-year-old woman with a history of cerebrovascular disease and known case of Type I TA was managed successfully without perioperative complications under general anesthesia.......
