The first CME of IRIA Samrakshan Project was launched by National President Dr.Hemant Patel at Indore,Madhya Pradesh on September 1st 2019.
Samrakshan is a novel project that demonstrates the social commitment of IRIA to contribute towards the National goal to reduce perinatal mortality in India .

More than 200 delegates attended the program.Dr.Rijo Mathew,the National Coordinator for Samrakshan explained the rationale for Samrakshan and presented the perinatal mortality statistics of India and Madhyapradesh.
Dr.Bavaharan presented the technical package of first trimester and third trimester screening protocols and encouraged Radiologists to put them into their practice.The online platforms for learning and data submission for Samrakshan was explained by Dr.Rijo Mathew.
The academic sessions and workshops were supported by Dr.Sweta Nagar and Dr.Varsha Sodani.

National President Dr.Hemant Patel congratulated the Indore city chapter and Madhya Pradhesh state chapter for the initiative .Dr.Muralikrishna , National Coordinator ,IRIA Yuva explained their activities and future programs.
As part of Samrakshan Seven star program,Raksha event to support girl child was conducted during the inaugural ceremony.School bags ,books ,lunch boxes and several other items of requirements for a Girls school was handed over during the ceremony.To synergise with Raksha and involve State PcPndt officials and health policymakers is a requirement for Samrakshan Seven star program.Mr.Mukesh Sinha,Chairman MP Voluntary Health Organization,Mr.Satish Joshi,Nodal Officer,PCPndt,Indore and Dr.Priya Pande,Member PcPndt conmittee,Indore participated in the proceedings.Mr.Mukesh Sinha in his presentation congratulated the Indore Radiologists for their positive and meaningful cooperation during these years which has resulted in 950 :1000 ,an enviable sex ratio target they had envisaged.

There was a panel discussion with Obstetricians and Neonatologists to discuss the management of at risk fetuses to reduce perinatal mortality and morbidity.Dr.Archana Baser,Vice President FOGSI,Dr.Brajbala ,Dr.Jyothy, Obstetricians and Dr.Hemant Jain,Neonatologist participated in the panel discussion led by Dr.Rijo Mathew.

IRIA National Treasurer Dr.Pushparaj Bhatele, Dr.Shekhar Rao,IMA Indore President also spoke on the occasion.

Dr.O.P.Tiwari and Dr R K Sodani,State coordinators for Samrakshan program assured all support to take the project forward in Madhya Pradesh to achieve the objectives.

The untiring efforts of the officials and patrons of Indore city chapter and the office bearers of MP IRIA was appreciated by the National President .The coordinated efforts of Dr.Vijayakumar Verma,President Elect,MP,IRIA,Dr.Rajesh Gupta,Dr.Mahesh Verma,Dr.Pramod Saki,Dr.Prem Tripati and all office bearers were thankfully appreciated by the delgates as well as the National Leaders.
