Two-day training for doctors on dengue in Karnataka
In a bid to regulate private hospitals from admitting patients for any fever on the pretext of dengue, and sensitise the doctors of private hospitals about carrying out prescribed tests for dengue confirmation and the correct treatment procedure, the Health Department will hold training on January 24 and 25 here. Over 582 dengue positive cases were reported in the district in 2016.

Some private hospitals were alleged to have admitted people for any fever and provided them treatment for dengue thereby collecting huge fee from them. Similarly, a few diagnostic centres had also collected exorbitant fee for dengue tests from the patients.
