Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes can be easily differentiated in that in type 1 there is no insulin produced at all from pancreas whereas in type 2 initially there is only resistance to the insulin by the different cells of the body. Type 1 is mostly common in youth accounting for ?85% of all diabetes cases in youth < 20 years of age worldwide. Whereas type 2 is mostly common in obese and adults and usually presents in the age group 30-49 years of age.
