#UAV: Vote for safety
Government Of India has released a bill "The Healthcare Service Personnel and Clinical Establishments (Prohibition of violence and damage to property) Bill, 2019" for curbing the violence against doctors and which is open for suggestions.

This bill protects all the doctors, medical students and healthcare professionals working in any clinical establishment whether government or private setups. The key highlights of the bill include
- In case of any damages to property in the clinical establishment: Non-bailable and cognizable imprisonment for 6 months to 5 years and a fine of Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh
- In case of any grievous injury or to any doctor, medical student or healthcare professional: Non-bailable and cognizable imprisonment for 2 years to 10 years and a fine of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
- In addition to the punishment provided for the offence the convicted person shall be liable to pay the compensation in an amount which will be twice the amount of market value of the damaged property or the loss caused, as may be determined by the court;

As a doctor it is our prime responsibility to bring it to the notice of the Government about the suggestions on this bill.
